Examples of the Napoleon Complex

Examples of the Napoleon complex include individuals of shorter stature displaying aggressive behavior, overcompensating in leadership roles, or being overly sensitive to criticism. These behaviors are often seen as attempts to assert dominance or prove their worth in social situations.

Is this the best you can find WNY Flash Soccer?

This website has been created in order to document how the Director of Operations, Marc Dall, for WNY Flash Soccer and Co-President of Greece United F.C. interacts with players, parents and the public in general. The public deserve and demand transparency and accountability from these organizations.

The following incident occurred on June 20th, 2025, between 7:10pm and lasting until 7:50pm at Glacier Ridge Sports Park with Marc Dall, the Director of Operations for WNY Flash Soccer.

On Friday, June 20th, 2025, at approximately 6:30 PM, I arrived at Glacier Ridge Sports Park (4618 Westridge Road, Spencerport, NY 14559) to watch my daughter participate in one of three soccer tournament games scheduled that weekend as part of the Greece United FC (GUFC) team.

At around 6:50 PM, as a FAA-certified (UAS & TRUST certs) drone operator, I launched my Category 2 FAA-registered drone into FAA-cleared airspace with the sole intent of recording my daughter’s game.

Shortly after takeoff, while wearing first-person-view (FPV) goggles, I overheard two men discussing my drone. Though I couldn’t see them due to the goggles, their conversation was clearly audible. I later learned that one of the men was Marc Dall, Director of Operations for WNY Flash Soccer. The other, a father of a player on my daughter’s team, I will refer to as "Bill" for the purpose of this report, as I was not given his name.

While I was operating the drone, Bill approached and questioned me about my identity and my connection to the team. I explained I was there to record my daughter, who plays for Greece. He continued to press for more personal details, including her jersey number. I informed him that I didn’t feel obligated to provide such information and asked him to stop distracting me during flight, citing safety concerns. Bill sounded agitated by my refusal and walked away. Moments later I heard Bill inform Mr. Dall that a “pervert was recording the girls game".

Following the flight, while sitting in my vehicle, I overheard Mr. Dall ask Bill, “Where is your firearm?” to which Bill responded, “It’s in my car.” I have witnesses who can confirm hearing this exchange.

This raises serious concerns:

  • If Mr. Dall genuinely believed criminal activity was taking place, why was the first question related to the location of a firearm instead of immediately contacting law enforcement?

  • More importantly, as of July 6, 2025, (web archive snapshot) according to Glacier Ridge Sports Park’s publicly posted rules : “No Firearms” are permitted on the premises. Why would the Director of Operations expect a firearm to be on-site, clearly in violation of the rules?

This interaction made me fear for my safety. I began recording all subsequent encounters in case I needed to legally defend myself. I wanted a recording in the event of the situation escalating to the point that deadly weapon(s) were introduced by Mr. Dall.

In the first encounter, you can see Mr. Dall approach me and appear surprised to learn he was being filmed. He threatened to contact the Sheriff and ordered me to leave. I informed him I would wait for law enforcement and gladly provide my FAA documentation (as required by law) and even replay the drone footage showing that my drone NEVER flew over an occupied game field.

Rather than allow the situation to de-escalate or contact the Sheriff, Mr. Dall immediately chose to take matters into his own hands. He proceeded to walk toward the field (seen at the end of the first recording of Mr Dall) and according to multiple eyewitnesses and confirmed via screenshots from both my ex-wife and daughter’s text messages, publicly announced that a "pervert was filming the girls game".

This public statement—unfounded, inflammatory and slanderous—had an immediate emotional impact on my daughter. She left the field visibly upset and in tears, too embarrassed and distraught to finish the tournament game.

Soon after realizing that a team member was abruptly leaving the field in tears, Mr. Dall approached me a second time, claiming that others had told him the drone was flown directly over the field. He admitted he had not witnessed this himself, yet still escalated the situation based 100% on hearsay.

My daughter can be seen leaving the game, emotionally affected by Mr. Dall’s slanderous accusations. He attempted to backpedal by saying he hadn’t spoken to her, but the damage was already done.

Questions That Deserve Answers:

  • Why was firearm-related language introduced by Mr. Dall prior to a call to proper authorities?

  • Why did Mr. Dall, a representative of Flash Soccer, choose to publicly accuse a parent of inappropriate behavior prior to calling a Sheriff to perform an investigation?

  • Why did Mr. Dall take unilateral action rather than follow protocol or report concerns to the Sheriff’s Department as threatened?

As a parent, FAA-certified drone operator, and law-abiding individual, I’m appalled at the reckless, humiliating, and unprofessional manner in which Mr. Dall handled this situation. His behavior caused emotional distress to a child and created an unsafe, confrontational environment.

Final Thought:

Does Flash Soccer condone this type of behavior from someone in a leadership position (see code of conduct)?

The public demands transparency and accountability.

Mr. Dall’s conduct reflects poorly on Flash Soccer and Greece United F.C. and the values they purports to represent.

Do better.
